Natural remedies for dry skin in winters


Dry skin is a big headache for everyone in the winter. The market is full of moisturizers and body lotions with big prices. That is not feasible for everyone to buy them.  We are using different  market products but not satisfied. So try these natural agents. During winter  our skin becomes dry due to cold waves. If we do not take proper care skin become dry and cracked. Excessive dryness  causes bleeding  and rough skin.  So we take care of our skin as winter starts and our skin get proper nourishment.

Glycerine

Glycerine is natural moisturizer of skin. It is best at home remedy for dry skin. It hydrates the skin and keeps skin soft and smooth.

Petroleum jelly

Petroleum jelly is cheap and easily available. Jelly is best  for dry skin and cracked heel. You can apply it during daytime and also in the night.

Almond oil

In a bottle mix, 20 ml almond oil with few drops of geranium essential oil then shake it. You can apply this  on your body as a moisturizer.

Vitamin E oil

Vitamin E oil is best for skin.  Rich in antioxidants  so effective as an anti-aging agent.  Prevent the skin from dryness, itching  and other skin related problems.

Sesame oil

Sesame oil easily available at home.  You can apply it on dry skin on regular basis to see the results. This stays on the skin for a long time so keeps skin hydrated .

Tea tree oil

In the winter most of us use hot water. Put few drops of tea tree oil in warm water when you bathing. It prevents your skin from dryness. It keeps skin glowing and free from cracks.

Olive oil

Olive oil contains antioxidants and fatty acids that are good for dry skin. By applying this you get a smooth healthy skin.
Mix one teaspoon of honey, 2 teaspoons of fine brown sugar and 4 teaspoons of olive oil. Rub this scrub on dry skin then take a bath. After taking shower apply a light moisturizer.
Take a massage with olive oil. After ½ an hour take a shower  and apply a good moisturizer.

Coconut oil

This oil contains a lot of fatty acids. It provides moisture to the dry skin.
Apply warm coconut oil all over the body before going to sleep. Take a bath in the morning.
Take a bath and then apply coconut oil on the body so it absorbs properly. Dry skin gets nourishment and becomes smooth.

Milk

Milk has lactic acid that helps in exfoliating dry skin. Milk is a good natural moisturizer. It contains anti-inflammatory and soothing properties so good for dry skin.
Mix few drops of rosewater in the 4 teaspoons  of milk. Apply on the skin leave it for 10 minutes before taking bath. Use this at least twice a week.
First, soak the cloth in the milk and put on dry skin for 5 – 10 minutes. Then takes a wet cloth again put on the same part. By this method natural moisturizer absorbed by the skin. Do this on daily basis.

Milk cream

Milk cream  has lactic acid so exfoliating properties.  It maintains the skin pH. Skin becomes soft and smooth by applying it.
Mix few drops of lemon with  2 teaspoons of milk cream and  1 teaspoon of milk.  Apply on the legs and hands for few seconds . wash with  cold water and apply daily.
Add  gram flour  to the milk cream and make a paste. Apply on the hands, face  and legs . leave it for 10 minutes and take a bath with lukewarm water . Use it daily.

Honey

Honey  acts as a good moisturizing agent for the skin. It contains lots of minerals and vitamins. This gives good nourishment to the skin. Skin becomes smooth and soft.
Take equal amounts of honey, beeswax and  olive oil. First heat beeswax in a pan then removes from  heat. Mix honey and olive oil in it. Apply this on the body leave it for 10 minutes. Take a bath with cold water. Use it daily or alternate day for  good results.
Apply honey  on the body leaves for 5 to 10 minutes before taking a bath.  Honey gives moisture to  the skin.

Yogurt

Antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties of  yogurt  nourish the dry skin. Yogurt  is excellent skin hydrating agent. It contains lactic acid which acts as antibacterial. This is good for itching skin .
Once daily do the massage of a face, hands, and legs with yogurt. Leave it for 10 minutes and then take a bath. Due to exfoliating  action of yogurt skin becomes smooth.
Take ½ cup of yogurt mix with  3 teaspoons mashed papaya ,  few drops of  honey  and lemon juice. Make a paste and apply on the skin. Leave it for  10 – 15 minutes. Wash with cold water. Apply this once a week.

You will try these natural remedies and see the results. Hope by using these remedies you can get rid off from dry skin in this winter. Also, eat a balanced  diet. Add fruit and nuts in your daily diet. Enjoy your soft and smooth skin looks so good among your friends.
